Why did the customer contact us?

Our clients wanted to add heating and, especially, air conditioning to the original part of their home - roughly 100 years old. That section only had hot water radiator heat and was uncomfortable in Central Virginia's summers.

Solutions provided:

To preserve the historic look of this section of their home, Zephyr recommended installing an efficient heat pump and duct system to serve the bedroom level.

We also recommended moving the thermostat control for the radiators from the second level to the first using a wireless sensor so that we did not have to mar the original plaster walls. This will ensure the main level stays warm in the winter without making the bedrooms overly warm since they are now served by the heat pump and the boiler.
