Completion date: December 21, 2017 Location: Charlottesville, VA Customer Contacted us about an oil furnace that quit working at his rental property. Wanted us to come take a look and get the unit working again. Found that there was no oil filter installed on the supply line from the tank to the burner. This was allow debris and sludge to reach the nozzle feed tube, and the nozzle itself. Found the nozzle clogged, we were able to clean it temporarily, until we could return with a new nozzle. While inspecting the system also found a crack in the target wall inside the fire box. Highly recommended the chamber be replaced. Also found the transformer for the electrodes going bad.
We cleaned the entire oil furnace and flue pipe, replaced the chamber, electrode transformer, cad cell.
Installed a new filter with shut off valves on the supply line.
After all the work was done used a Bacharach Fyrite INSIGHT Plus Combustion Analyzer to properly tune the system. Team members on this project:
