Completion date: January 28, 2019 Location: Charlottesville, VA Client is a first year maintenance program member. They inherited a system in their home that has had recurring performance issues - refrigerant leaks, periods of breakdown, etc. These had been recurring issues with no resolution, so we determined to find the cause. During our maintenance visits, we recharged the system according to manufacturer specifications and eliminated the likely leak locations. As the system continued to leak refrigerant we identified the lineset connecting the indoor and outdoor units as the likely culprit. Working with the client, we set up a test to isolate the components and test each separately. We confirmed the lineset and replaced it with a new lineset and lineset hide system. We also found and repaired a clogged outdoor metering device. In each case we replaced any contaminated components, pressure and vacuum tested the system to confirm it was clean and free of contaminants, recharged the system and returned it to manufacturer specifications.Job completed for Tom H.
